The Waterloo Wolves
Minor Atom AAA team traveled to Sun County and Windsor on Saturday for a
long drive double header and came back with a win and a tie.
The team started out with a strong effort vs Sun County going ahead 4-0 in the first 2 periods. A little lapse in the 3rd period saw Sun County score 2 quick goals to get back in the game but with the pressure on the boys held on for the win by a score of 4 -2. Goal scorers were Kyle Maloney (x2), Spencer Young and Owen Parsons with assists going to Preston Young (x2), Jacob Thompson and Jaxson Murray.
In the second game of the day the boys faced a fresh and determined hard working Windsor team. Numerous scoring chances were denied by the Windsor goalie but our boys showed character and battled to a 2-2 tie. Goal scorers were Austin Stemmler and Jaxson Murray with assists going to Preston Young, Kyle Cupolo, Owen Parsons and Brayden Hislop.
