The Playoff Drive Starts Now
The Waterloo Wolves AAA Minor Atom team had a very busy week playing 3 games and all in playoff mode which will serve them well in the future.  The loss to Kitchener was evened out with wins against Hamilton and  Huron Perth.

The Wolves played a very even game against their crosstown rivals from Kitchener but lost 2-1 with a late goal in the third period to win it for the Rangers. Misha Stastna was as always very strong in net. The lone goal scorer was Jake Anderson while assists went to Brayden Hislop and Owen Parsons.

The Wolves bounced back quickly against the Hamilton Huskies.  After falling behind in the first period 2-0, the Wolves pulled out all the stops and won 6-4.  The third period was one of the best periods the boys have played all year and would not be denied.  Preston Young had a superb game scoring a hat-trick. Other single goal scorers were: Jaxson Murray, Jake MacDonald and Cooper Way.  Kyle Maloney and Jake Thompson both had 2 assists while Owen Parsons, Jaxson Murray, Spencer Young and Luke Ronson had single assists.

The Wolves then played their final game of the weekend against the Huron-Perth Lakers and defeated them 3-1. Brayden Hislop, Preston Young and Kyle Maloney had one goal each while Jake Thompson, Owen Parsons, Jaxson Murray, and Kyle Maloney each had one assist. The Wolves sit atop the Eastern Division with a very impressive record of 21-4-4. The are 4 points ahead of the Kitchener Junior Rangers who had 3 games in hand.
