Closing out the Regular Season in Style
Submitted By Steve McGeown on Mon 02 11, 13
The Waterloo Wolves Minor Atom AAA team went 2-0-1 in their final 3 games to close out the regular season taking 5 of a possible 6 points.

Also this past weekend the boys enjoyed a fun outdoor game with parents and siblings on an outdoor rink in St. Jacobs.  The weather couldn't have been more perfect and it turned out to be a great team/family event!

Congratulations to the Waterloo Wolves Minor Atom AAA team who finished 2nd overall in the regular season just two points out of first with a record of 23 W, 4 L and 5 T with 134 GF and only 61 GA.    Good luck in the playoffs!

Last weekend vs the London Knights the boys came out very strong and scored in the first shift of the game to send a message that they came ready to play.  The final score in the game was 2-0 on goals from Cooper Way and Kyle Maloney. Assists went to Spencer Young (x2), Jake MacDonald and Jacob Thompson.

Next up, was a game vs a determined Huron Perth Lakers team.  Our boys battled hard and tied the game 2-2.  Goals were scored by Brayden Hislop, and Kyle Maloney with assists going to Owen Parsons and Jaxson Murray.

In the final game vs the Cambridge Hawks, Marshall Nicholls lead the way and played outstanding in net to earn a shutout.  Final score was 2-0 with goals by Jake Anderson and Jacob Thompson and assists going to Owen Parsons and Austin Stemmler.
