Black Wolves Take Series Lead Over Hamilton
The Waterloo Pee Wee Black Wolves gutted out a hard-earned victory in game 2 over Hamilton to take a 3 points to one series lead.  The Wolves will need six points to advance to the next round.

Hamilton got on the board first while shorthanded when their forward capitalized on a loose puck at the blue line and skated down the wing and blasted a slap shot to the top corner that beat Brett McLearon on the stick side.  The score remained that way after one period of play.  In the opening minute of the second, Evan Arthur fed a perfect pass from his own zone to Drayton Duckett in the neutral zone.  Duckett was able to skate in and fire a low wrister that beat the Hamilton goalie five-hole.  Luke Snider also assisted on the play.  The Reps regained the lead a couple of minutes later when they capitalized on a three on one opportunity.  Soon after though, Jeff Young fired another low shot to tie the game at two.  Raymond Russell had the helper.  Before the period was over, Hamilton had once again taken the lead, this time on the power play.  The Wolves found themselves down 3-2 going into the final frame.  The score remained the same through the first ten minutes of the period and then the Wolves were given a power play opportunity.  Zack Walsh circled behind the Hamilton net and came out wide and fired a low wrist shot that found the back of the net to give the Wolves the equalizer.  Zach Doughty assisted on the goal.  Just when it looked like the teams were headed for their second straight overtime game, Tyrell Brown jumped on a loose puck at the blue line and took a shot on net.  The puck came loose and lucky for the Wolves, Duckett was right there to put the puck into a wide open net.  The Wolves hung on and took this one by a 4-3 score.  Jeremy Nejadrasoul was named the game's Hardest Worker.

The Wolves will try to extend their series lead when they travel to Hamilton on Tuesday.
