Black Wolves Win Series Opener Over Gold
It was  a packed house for the opener as Waterloo Black faced off against Waterloo Gold in game 1 of the Pee Wee Consolation Final.

Gold got on the board in the opening minute when they were able to knock in a loose puck from just outside the crease.  Waterloo Black had trouble getting pucks to the net in the first period but picked up their play in the second.  Black was able to control the offensive zone and they were rewarded late in the second when Zack Walsh made a nice move towards the middle and fired a low wrist shot on goal.  The Gold goaltender made a nice save on the initial shot but Lucas Snyder was right there to bang in the rebound and tie the game at one apiece.  The teams were tied going into the third period.  Walsh gave Black  the lead with just under six minutes to go when he took a pass from Jeremy Nejadrasoul and went to the front of the net and scored with a low wrister.  With the Gold net empty, hard work from Tyrell Brown paid off as he got the puck to Nejadrasoul who made no mistake and blasted the puck into the open net.  Gold added another goal with two seconds left in the game to make the final score 3-2 for Waterloo Black.  Tyrell Brown was named the game's Hardest Worker for Black.

Game two of this series goes tomorrow night at 6 p.m. at Moses Springer Arena.
