Novice Timber Wolves vs Cambridge Hawks Black
The Wolves lost a well played game 4 - 1 against The Cambridge Hawks.

The Wolves played a very focused game this afternoon. In the first period everyone was attacking the puck, applying pressure on Cambridge when they had the puck and ensured any loose pucks were cleared aside. Goaltender Austin Zappitelli made several kick saves and a few glove snags. It was a see-saw battle back and forth the entire period.

Mid way through the second period, Declan Uniac sprung Thomas Chan up the board. Thomas fired a backhand from the right side of the Cambridge net that had no problem finding the goal making the score 1 - 1. On a rush up the ice, Jake Patterson rocketed a shot from the blueline that went bar-down. Wicked shot Jake!. Too bad it was not acknowledged. The boys kept the same pressure on Cambridge. Once again, Austin came up with a spectacular sprawling paddle save preserving the 1 - 1 game.

The team has several scoring opportunities in the third but could not capitalize. They were still battling for the puck not allowing Cambridge any breathing room to pull away.

Well played, well skated and very well focused game boys. If you play like this next weekend, you will come out on top.

The hardest worker of the game went to Austin Zappitelli for an excellent game between the pipes.

Declan Uniac takes home the player assist stick for his assist on the only goal of the game.

Keep up the hard work ethic boys. Good luck representing all of Canada at the Silver Stick Tournament in Michigan next weekend. We are cheering for you. You are our Junior Team Canada.
