Novice Timber Wolves vs Cambridge Hawks Black
The Wolves held Cambridge at bay and narrowly missed the victory by a score of 8 - 3

For the second game in a row, the Wolves came out to play with some fast paced, gritty hockey as the season starts to wind down. Seamus Riley McKay dug the puck out of a wild scrum in the neutral zone and quickly shot the puck over to Thomas Chan. Thomas took three strides and then rifled the puck from the top of the face off circle beating the Cambridge goalie high glove side and narrowing Cambridge's lead to just one goal.

Iron man Aidan MacKinnon picked up where he left off yesterday and took no prisoners today as he pounded the opponents all game long. Anytime the forwards had the puck near Aidan, he politely took the puck, skated up the boards and sent his mates up the ice. I don't think anyone got close to getting past Aidan. If they did, it must have been as he was heading off on a line change!

Jacob Craig was solid between the pipes as he stopped three breakaway attempts by Cambridge. One was a very nice poke check. Cole Hunsberger worked his magic in front of the net as he potted his second goal in two games. He showed Cambridge his patented pancake flip move. He flipped the puck on the blade of his stick, then tossed the puck in the air and just before it hit the ground, he swatted it like a fly in mid flight. With time winding down, Aidan MacKinnon battled the Cambridge forward deep in the zone and stole the puck. His no look, between the legs, pass over to Cole left the fans in awe. Cole passed the puck over to Tim Hodson who banked it off of a Cambridge defender that was just too close to the net for Tim's liking. Second bank shot goal in as many games.

Great game boys.

Hardest work went to Aidan MacKinnon who stood his ground and picked up a well battled assist.
