Novice Timber Wolves vs Richmond Hill Stars
The Wolves came up with their first win at the Preston Tournament beating Richmond Hill 5 to 1

From the first drop of the puck, to the final sound of the buzzer, the boys took control of the game and never looked back. The power line of Griffin Beddis, Aidan MacKinnon, Jake Patterson, Thomas Chan and Cole Hunsberger opened the game up with the first goal of the game 19 seconds in as Thomas passed the puck up the middle to Cole Hunsberger who scored high stick side. The defense only allowed 4 shots on net in the first as Austin Zappitelli came up with a few big saves as he kicked out his right pad to stop a couple of "should have been goals" and keeping Richmond Hill off the score sheet.

In the second, the Wolves forwards kept the pressure on Richmond Hill as they came up with puck after puck along the boards. Cole Hunsberger scored his second goal of the game as Ethan Wasylyshyn and Jude Hawthorne assisted on a nice spin-o-rama shot from Cole. The defense stepped up their game as Aidan MacKinnon, Jude Hawthorne and Jake Patterson were very aggressive and carried the puck up the ice keeping Richmond Hill back on their heels.

Cole Hunsberger completed the natural hatrick on the day giving his team a 3 - 1 lead shortly into the third as he won the faceoff; skated in and around the defenders and then rifled the puck five-hole on the goalie. Thomas Chan got in on the action as Declan Uniac sent Thomas away to the races to make it 4 - 1. With 24 second left in the game, Cole Hunsberger made it number 4 as Quade Willson fired the puck up the ice along the boards sending Cole in untouched. Austin Zappitelli had to come up with several huge saves in the third and only allowed one goal all game. Super work Austin.

Great, great game boys.

Cole Hunsberger won the hardest worker award as he told his teammates, "follow me boys" with a 4 goal performance... Wa-hooooo

Good luck Saturday morning against Thorold.
