Novice Timber Wolves vs Brantford 99ers
The Timber Wolves start the final round of regular play with an 11 - 2 loss to the Brantford 99ers

The first period was hard as the boys looked a little bit rusty after a two week lay off from hockey. The boys were forcing Brantford to stick to the outside for most of their attacks. Matthew Johnstone made a few good poke checks to stop Brantford from rushing up the ice.

The second period was much better as the Wolves only allowed a single goal. There were a few odd man rushes up the ice but the boys could not seem to find the back of the net. Jake Patterson went end to end with the puck only to see the Brantford goalie stop the scoring attempt. The play was in the Brantford end most of the period as the crowd saw a few near goals and some excellent passing attempts.

Seamus Riley-McKay put the team on the scoreboard as he picked up a loose puck and lifted it past the Brantford netminder at the 10 minute mark of the third. Cole Hunsberger won a faceoff draw deep in the Brantford end as he dropped the puck back to Jake Patterson. Jake fired the shot from the blueline giving the boys the second goal on the day.

Keep working hard and keep those feet moving.

Good luck on Sunday against Hamilton
