Novice Timber Wolves vs Woodstock Jr. Navy Vets Blue
The Timber Wolves picked up 4 points this weekend as they came out on top with a 3 - 2 win over the Woodstock Jr. Navy Vets Blue

Three goals in the first period was all the team needed to ensure the victory. Ethan Wasylyshyn, who just returned from a week long rest, grabbed the puck near the hash marks of the Woodstock zone. Rather than firing it into the crowd, he passed it over to Jake Patterson who wristed the shot from the blue line to the back of the net. It was a smoking shot, a low rising shot that no one saw coming. Mid way through the period, Jacob Stark slid the puck over to Cole Hunsberger. The hot stick from Cole had no trouble finding the net high glove side making it 2 - 0. To finish the period off, Declan Uniac forced the turnover deep in the attacking zone. He fired the puck out front to a patiently waiting Thomas Chan. Thomas picked up his 24th goal of the season and breaks the team's 25 year record. 24 goals in 21 games. Congrats Thomas, all eyes are on you now.

Austin Zappitelli and Jacob Craig were rock solid in net all game long. The defense took over for the rest of the game ensuring that any loose pucks were cleared, the forwards that tried to set up shop in front of the net were pushed to the side and all shots came from afar and from the outside.

Great hustle again boys. Build on the win as you prepare for next weekend's Silver Stick Tournament. All of Canada is behind you.

The hardest worker of the game went to Ethan Wasylyshyn for his hard work and assist on the opening goal of the game.
