Game 20
Game 3 at the Richmond Hill Tournament, vs the Kingston Canadians.

Nothing changes here, let's get a quick start and keep the pedal down. Stay disciplined, smart hockey and your best effort will win the day. Kingston comes out hard trying to set the tone.  We hold our own and start controlling possession of the puck. 2 minutes in we have a face off to the left of their goal. Baker pushes the puck forward and rifles it top shelf for the 1-0 lead.  With 4 minutes left in the 1st Beech head man's the puck to Mackenzie and he feeds Haffey. Haffey get in tight and beats the goaltender on the glove side for the 2-0 lead. With 2 minutes to go we're on the power play. Coming out of our end we try to stick handle by two of their forwards at our blue line. Kingston pokes the puck off our stick and races in and goes top shelf for the short handed goal and now it's 2-1 Wolves.  Shots in the first were 9-4 Wolves. Late in the first minute of the 2nd Hooper feeds Haffey who gets the puck to the net. Carr-Pries is johnny on the spot and he pokes the rebound home for a 3-1 lead. 20 seconds later Mirt sends the puck up the right side to Baker. 2 on 1 Baker slides it over to Schal who back hands it in the short side for a 4-1 lead for the Wolves.  We get into some penalty trouble 2 1/2 minutes into the 2nd. 40 seconds into the penalty kill we get another penalty trying to clear the front of our net. We are doing a great job killing the 5 on 3 and try to make a quick line change. Sure enough the puck comes right to the bench door and we get called for too many men. The boys do an excellent job killing off the remainder of the the 5 on 3 and never really let Kingston get set up in our end.  With 2 1/2 minutes left in the 2nd were controlling the puck deep in Kingstons end Mirt gets the puck on the boards and feeds Schal on the way to the slot.  Schal put's it down low to Baker who fakes the pass out front and as he comes up on the post he stuffs the puck 5 hole for the 5-1 lead.  Shots in the 2nd were 9-4 for the Wolves. To start the 3rd Kingston enters our zone and a forward does two or three pirouettes with the puck stuck in his feet.  A few players poke at the puck and it ends up in front of our net and they jamb one home to get within 3. 5-2 Wolves. Kingston takes a penalty and we try to get set up in their end. Kingston gets the puck and fires it up the boards. Brown is there to keep it in and takes a shot from the point. The rebound comes right to Mackenzie and he back hands in the Wolves 6th for a 6-2 lead. 30 seconds later face off to the left of the goal in Kingstons end.  Baker wins it cleanly back to O'Neill at the point. O'Neill puts it on net and it finds it's way through everyone and bends the twine for the 7-2 lead. That was our final tonight. Total shots were 25-9 for the Wolves. Hardest worker went to Brown.  That wins the pool. Off to the semi's boys.  Let's get it done.
