Game 18
Richmond Hill Tournament Game #1 vs the Aurora Tigers.

Game 1 of the Richmond Hill Tournament.  Let's start fast and get one under our belt. No info on Aurora so let's go out and play our game.  Our speed proved to be the difference right off the hop.  Pressure was good and we had them on their heels early. Lots of shots but no result.  With one minute left in the 1st, Pernfuss head man's the puck to Schal who goes cross ice to Mirt.  Mirt crosses the blue line on the right side and bursts around the D and cuts to the net.  He brings the puck back to his forehand and goes top shelf on the short side and we're up 1-0.  Shots after the first were 10-4 for Wolves.  30 seconds into the 2nd Logel feeds Hooper who send Haffey up the right side. Haffey beats the defender wide and breaks to the net and goes top shelf on the short side and it's 2-0 Wolves.  Halfway through the second Baker hit's Hooper with the lead pass up the right side and it's a 2 on 1 with Carr-Pries on the left.  Hooper times his pass perfectly and Carr-Pries puts one in the back door and it's 3-0.  The 2nd ends with the shots 13-4 for the Wolves.  We kept our foot on the gas and maintained possession for most of the 3rd period.  The defense was constantly regrouping back into our end and letting the forwards exit the opponents end and we went right back to work. With 3 1/2 minutes left in the 3rd Baker goes behind the net and slips it out front and Hooper taps it through the goaltender.  No one knew where it was, but the ref was pointing to the goal making it 4-0.  With less than a minute to go Haffey rifles one unassisted to put us up 5-0 and that's all she wrote.  Final Shots were 28-12 for the Wolves, hardest worker went to the D's Graham on his first game back from injury. Let's keep up this pace, we've got a ship to burn.

Burn the Ships!!
