Novice Timber Wolves vs Brantford 99er's
The Timber Wolves lost 8 - 4 against the Brantford 99er's in a spirited tilt.
The 99er's were shown that the wolves won't be pushed around. The first two periods saw the wolves march right back up the ice and tie the game up soon after Brantford scored a goal. The boys tied the game up less than two minutes after going down 1 - 0 on some gritty work along the boards in the neutral zone. Quade Willson dug the puck out of a massive scrum along the boards and fired it up the ice. Cole Hunsberger beat his man to the puck and slide it stick side to tie the game up.
Ethan Wasylyshyn and Cole Hunsberger worked the cycle deep in the Brantford zone as Ethan chucked the puck out front to Cole Hunsberger who shot the puck high on the Brantford goalie tying the game up at 2. Shortly after Brantford went ahead, iron man Aidan MacKinnon out muscled the Brantford forward for the puck. Aidan spotted Griffin Beddis calling for the puck in front of the net. Griffin's quick snapshot nearly ripped through the netting making it 3 - 3.
With time winding down and the face off deep in Brantford's zone, Cole Hunsberger picked up his third point of the game as he won the face off draw and sent the puck back to Jake Patterson at the blue line. Jake's shot skipped along the ice past a screened goalie and found the back of the net.
