AtoMc Yellow Lightning took to the ice at the Kitchener Aud. The Lightning were matched up against the Kitchener AtoMc Sky Blue. Both teams played very well and although Lightning had more scoring opportunities in the 1st period,
Kitchener got on the board 1st with a break away goal scored at 2:59. The 2nd period went without a goal but Lightning had more puck possession and numerous chances. Early in the 2nd #5 A. Neissen was inches from tucking the puck in behind the goalie. Near the end of the 2nd #4 L. Cabral whistled one by the post. Late in the third and trailing by a goal, the puck deep in the opponents end, the coach pulled the goalie and put on #14 K. Curtis-Wolfe for the extra attacker. He made several shots on net and finally passed the puck out front to #7 B. Uniac. With no hesitation Uniac buried the puck in the net to tie it up at 1 each, with only 36.3 seconds remaining in the game. #17 J. Corman also received an assist on the goal for starting the play. The Final score for our game at Hockey Day in Rangers Nation remained 1-1. Outstanding goal tending by #1 C. Carter and great hustle all game by #2 S. Ritchie, #4 Lucas Cabral and #15 M. Williamson. A great game played by everyone! Thanks to the
Kitchener Rangers for a great "game day" experience!
