Playoffs Game 5
Blog by Gina Wolfe
Sun. March 8th held the hardest challenge I've seen Lighting face since playoffs started. AtoMc Red posed a big threat on the ice from start to finish! In the 1st, #17 J. Corman went to the box for body checking at 5:06.

#15 M. Williamson played his best period of hockey so far this season as he cleanly man handled the, twice his size, players of the Red team off the puck and away from his net! 5:56 remaining in the 2nd #14 K. Curtis-Wolfe received a tripping penalty. Just before he stepped out of the box #15 M. Williamson made a super pass to #7 B. Uniac who flew up the ice for a break away, scoring 5 holel. 1-0 Lightning at 3:53. In the 3rd, #14 K. Curtis-Wolfe went back to the sin bin for cross checking at 7:45. The tremendous icing of #17 J. Corman and #15 M. Williamson killed off the penalty so Red couldn't utilize the man advantage. The final score was 1-0 Lightning! Golden jersey went to the shut out king #1 C. Carter. Both teams played their hearts out and every player should be very proud of their efforts and team support. Lightning is still undefeated, sitting in 1st place of the playoff standings, but other teams are on their tail. Every Lightning player has proven himself worthy in these playoffs. You all bring something great and unique and have played great as a team. Keep up the good work gentlemen!
