Playoffs Game 2

Feb. 7th Lightning came back from a 2-0 deficit to
beat White 5-2. Hard and strong were #4 L. Cabral, #6 T. Le & #12 L.
Rowbotham leading their team into a fast paced game from the start. #11 J.
Weber & #7 B. Uniac did a great job keeping the puck in the opposing end
throughout the period and all the Lightning players were digging hard to
close out the last quarter of the 1st in Whites end.
White brought more to the ice in beginning the 2nd and scored 2 quick goals at 8:38 & then 38 seconds later. At 5:15 #14 K. Curtis-Wolfe put Lightning on the score board when he deked out the defense men and planted the puck far side making it 2-1. It wasn't until over mid way through the 3rd that any further goals were scored. With less then 5 minutes remaining, #7 B. Uniac assisted the break away goal scored by #4 L. Cabral. Lightning were not content with a tie though, #2 S. Ritchie scored the go ahead goal after digging hard, taking the puck off a white player and beating the goalie at 3:12. At 1:29 #14 K. Curtis-Wolfe scored his 2nd goal of the game when he flew up the ice, breaking away from the rest of the players and deked out the goalie. The final goal was a 2nd goal of the game also for #2 S. Ritchie, who made the final score 5-2 with his precise shot on net from the blue line into White's empty net. #17 J. Corman did a great job keeping the puck in White territory all game long! Golden Jersey went to #8 D. Song for doing a great job of listening to the coaches, following their guidance and showing it on the ice.
