Big Comeback Win for Wolves Evens Series
Waterloo Gold and London Green faced-off in Game 2 of their semi-final series on Saturday.

For the second straight game, the Wolves got on the board early when Parson's low point shot was tipped by Hyjek.  Gerth picked up the other assist.  London tied the game a few minutes later when they scored on a point shot of their own.  Soon after, Matthews cleanly won an offensive face-off straight back to Harris whose wrist shot went off the post and in to give the Wolves a 2-1 lead after one period of play.

The second period was much tighter, with scoring chances being limited.  London managed to get a power play goal late in the period to tie the game at two.

London added two quick goals to start the third period and put the Wolves down by two.  It did not look good for Waterloo at this point but they did not give up.  Matthews managed to find a loose puck in the slot and find the back of the net with just over seven minutes left in the third.  McMurry and Harris assisted on the goal.  This goal sparked the Wolves as they ramped up the intensity.  Gerth scored a beauty to tie it less than two minutes later, with help from Hyjek and Graffi.  36 seconds later, Gerth roofed a rebound off a Hyjek shot to put the Wolves up by one with just over five minutes to go in regulation time.  Jensen also assisted on the goal.  The Wolves iced it when a great pass from Lunz sprung Gerth on a breakaway for his hat trick goal and a 6-4 victory.  Gies picked up the win in goal for the Wolves.  The win evens the series at two points apiece.

The teams are back in action tomorrow afternoon in London.
