London Takes Series Lead
The Waterloo Minor Bantam Gold Wolves and London Green played Game 3 of their six point series on Sunday.

The opening period was a wild one, as the teams combined for seven goals.  For the third consecutive game, the Wolves scored in the opening minute, when Harris deflected Parsons shot from the point.  McMurry also assisted on the goal.  London got that one back to tie the game at one.  London made it 2-1 less than two minutes later.  With the Wolves on the power play, Jensen got his stick on a shot by Lunz to even the score.  Graffi picked up the second helper.  After London regained the lead later in the first, Jensen added his second of the period 20 seconds later when he redirected a shot by Gerth.  Hyjek also assisted on the goal.  Unfortunately, London got that one back 15 seconds later to go ahead 4-3 after the first period.

The teams settled down a bit in the second with London getting the lone tally and a two goal lead going into the final period.  The Wolves were hoping for another big comeback win, but it was not to be as London scored two more to take a 7-3 lead.  Hyjek added a late tally, with help from Henderson and Gilmour, to make the final 7-4.

The Wolves will need a much stronger defensive effort next Saturday as they play game 4 with their season on the line.
