Wolves End Regular Season on a Roll
The Minor Bantam Gold Wolves ended the regular season with two more victories.

On Saturday, they played league-leading London White in an intense affair.  The Wolves got on the board first when Henderson's hard work paid off as he won a battle behind the net and fed a pass to Kula in the slot.  The referee let the teams play in this one as big hits and physical play were a big part of this game.  Gies was spectacular in goal making several huge saves to keep the Wolves ahead.  Late in the second, Matthews made a great pass through the neutral zone to Bordessa.  Bordessa slid the puck by the defender and chipped the puck by the goalie to send the Wolves up two at the second intermission.  Green came out hard in the third and managed to narrow the gap to one goal.  Gies made a big save off a breakaway less than a minute later.  Gerth added an empty-netter to seal the victory for the Wolves.  Jensen and Graffi assisted on the goal.

On Sunday, the Wolves faced West London to finish up the regular season.  The Wolves controlled the play in this one and skated away with a 4-1 victory.  Hyjek opened the scoring off a nice drop pass by Kula.  Lunz picked up the other assist.  Hyjek then returned the favour, as he set up Kula for the second goal as Kula fired a hard wrist shot to the top corner.  Jensen made it 3-0 as he scored right off an offensive face-off.  Kula and Hyjek picked o]up their third points of the game with assists on that goal.  West London got on the board late in the second but Henderson added an empty net goal after Jensen won a race to the puck.  Chappelle picked up the win for the Wolves.

The Wolves now wait to see if they will face Kitchener or Hamilton in the first round of the playoffs.
