4-point Weekend for Wolves
The Waterloo Minor Bantam Wolves picked up a pair of victories on the weekend.

On Saturday, the Wolves faced off against the Hamilton Huskies.  Gerth gave the Wolves the lead in the first when he poked in a loose puck.  Hyjek and Jensen assisted on the goal.  Gerth notched his second of the game in the middle frame when he cut across the middle and his off speed shot had the goaltender moving the wrong way.  Lunz picked up the helper.  The Huskies got one back in the third but that would be as close as they would get as the Wolves won this one, 2-1.  Chappelle was solid in goal for Waterloo.

On Sunday, Sarnia made the trip to Waterloo to face the Wolves.  Hyjek gave the Wolves the early lead when he banged in a loose puck that was sitting on the goal line.  Parsons and Kula had the helpers.  In the second period, Henderson was tripped up on a breakaway and was awarded a penalty shot.  He converted on his opportunity by going forehand to backhand and into the net to make it 2-0.  Early in the third, Kula won a face-off and Jensen snapped a bullet to the top corner to make it a three goal lead.  Hyjek scored his second of the game soon after with help from Gerth.  McMurry scored a beauty on the final goal when he tipped Lunz's shot from the point in the air and batted the puck in the net.  Gies was sharp in goal to pick up the shutout.

The Wolves travel to London next Saturday for a big game against London Green.
