Huge Win for Wolves Heading Into Christmas Break
The third place Waterloo Minor Bantam Gold Wolves hosted first place London White.  London came into this game with an impressive 21 wins and only one loss.

London came out strong in the first, dominating the territorial play but Gies made several big saves to keep them off the board.  The Wolves only managed one shot on net in the first but they made it count when Matthews got the puck behind the London net and fed a pass to Bordessa in the slot.  Bordessa's low wrister got through to give the Wolves a 1-0 lead after one period of play.  Waterloo picked up the pace in the second and had several quality scoring chances.  The Wolves increased their lead to 2-0 while on the power play when McBain potted his first of the year after some nice passing with Gerth and Graffi.  London narrowed the gap early in the third when a point shot was redirected from the slot to make it a one goal game.  With the Wolves up one and just over 5 minutes left in the game, the lights went out in the rink causing a 15 minute delay.  The Wolves were ready to play when power was restored and Jensen iced this one with an empty net goal.  Girth and Hyjek picked up the helpers.

The Wolves are back in action in two weeks when they host London Green.

Have a very Merry Christmas!
