Wolves Tie One On in Stratford
The Minor Bantam Gold Wolves and the Stratford Warriors played to a 1-1 draw on Monday night in Stratford.
There hasn't been much to separate these two teams in their three meetings this year, with Waterloo winning the first game 4-2, Stratford winning a tournament semi-final 3-2 in overtime, and Monday's tie.
The Wolves came out strong in the first on Monday but Stratford controlled the play in the final two frames as the Wolves found themselves in penalty trouble. Henderson put the Wolves up 1-0 with help from Kula and McMurry. Stratford got that one back on a power play late in the second. Chappelle held the Wolves in it as the Warriors kept up the pressure. The Wolves had a chance to win it late in the game when they finally received a power play of their own but couldn't get the go-ahead goal.
The Wolves play their last game before the Christmas break when they host league leading London White on Sunday.
