Wolves Blank Warriors
After being held scoreless in their two previous games, the Pee Wee Gold Wolves were looking to generate some offence as they faced the Stratford Warriors.
The Wolves opened the scoring in the first while on the power play. Justin Labrie fed a pass to Josh Stephens from behind the goal line and Stephens roofed a hard backhand shot to make it 1-0. Bryson Henderson made it 2-0 late in the second, again with the man advantage, finishing off a nice passing play with Samson Walsom and Stephens. Waterloo scored their third power play goal when Luke Matthews banged in a loose puck in the third. Kyle Bordessa and Brandon McBain assisted on the play. Sawyer Poetker was solid in goal for the Wolves in picking up the shutout. Full credit to the Wolves for keeping it classy in a game that saw the Warriors parading to the penalty box.
