Gold Wolves Win 4-2 Over Sarnia
The Pee Wee Gold Wolves made the exciting trip down Highway 2 to face the Sarnia Sting on Sunday.
The Wolves were a bit flat in this one but did just enough offensively to skate away with the victory. Raegan Gies in goal was the difference in this one as he was called upon to make several big saves off 2 on 1s and breakaways. Luke Matthews opened the scoring for the Wolves with help from Evan Kula and Justin Labrie. Josh Stephens made it 2-0 with Quinn Bisch getting the helper. Derek Jensen scored a beauty when he fired a blast from the top of the circle. Will Lennox and Thomas Dunbar started the play for Jensen. Seconds later, Dunbar scored a similar goal to score the Wolves 4th and final goal. Jensen picked up the assist on that one. Sarnia scored in the final seconds to make the final 4-2. Gies was the game's Hardest Worker.
The Wolves have a busy weekend coming up with a home game on Friday against the Oakridge Aeros before playing two road games against Hamilton and Woodstock.
