Battle in Cambridge
Submitted By Brad Heard on Wednesday, December 12, 2012
On Sat. December 8th the Mountain Wolves travelled to Cambridge to play the Hawks White. The 1st period was a fast, hard fought, defensive battle by both teams that left the score 0-0.

3:20 into the 2nd Cambridge scored the 1st & only goal of the 2nd period. Coincidentally enough, 3 minutes & 20 seconds into the 3rd period Cambridge scored again to take a 2-0 lead. The Wolves needed a comeback......so with 8 minutes left in the game the heated up Heardy (#88 Ryan Heard), sped into the opposing end & took a shot on the net that bounced off the goalie & onto the stick of the quick & agile Campbell (#22 Makhaya Campbell) who stuffed the puck into the back of the net.
Some tough calls by the referees had the Wolves down 2 men with just over 3 minutes left in the game. Down by a goal & 2 men in the box, the stupendous, awe-inspiring Hay (#68 Ethan Hay) deked out the Cambridge defense for a break away then hammered one top corner shelf.....the Cambridge goalie didn't stand a chance! The Wolves had managed to come all the way back from the 2 goal lead the Hawks had on them to tie it up.

The final score was 2-2. What an exciting game to watch.

Great turn around Wolves!!
