February Race for Playoffs
Submitted By Brad Heard on Friday, February 22, 2013
The Mountain Wolves hosted the Brantford 99ers on Feb. 9th at Albert McCormick arena. The great defensive strategies by #10 Nolan Romhild, the diving in front of the puck by #14 Owen Yager & beauty saves by #31 Ben Pendleton only allowed the 99ers 1 goal in the 1st period.

A couple minutes into the 2nd period Brantford scored again but #2 Tyler McDonald answered back to make it a 2-1 game going into the 3rd. Less than a minute into the 3rd period defenseman #10 Nolan Romhild scored his 1st goal of the season from the point right through the Brantford goalies 5 hole!

Brantford would go on to score 2 more goals making it a 4-2 win for Brantford.

February 10th, the Mountain Wolves traveled to St. Catherines to vs the Hurricanes. Twenty seconds into the game the Hurricanes took the lead & would hold onto it the whole game. Despite great goal tending by #33 Mitch Simmons & great hustling by all Wolves players throughout the game the Wolves could not get one past the Hurricanes net minder.
