Cambride vs Waterloo rivalry continues
February 16th the Mountain Wolves had a stand off with the Cambridge Hawks White. Cambridge came out strong & scored two quick ones at 7:22 & 6:12 in the 1st period.

#55 Carson Bernhardt stepped up his defensive game with some great hustling near the end of the first, clearing the puck out of the Wolves end to prevent any more goals against for the period.
In the 2nd period #14 Owen Yager made some great attempts from the point, #88 Ryan Heard was digging hard & the stealth speed of #22 Makhaya Campbell finally paid off & he blasted the puck top shelf to put the Wolves on the score board with 2 minutes left in the 2nd, making it a 2-1 game.
Once again #66 Cameron Hache did a great job moving the puck up the ice & #9 Jacob Bender kept the puck in the opposing end throughout the 3rd period. #5 Nolan Evans had some great scoring opportunities however he could not solve the Cambridge tender.   With just over 2 minutes to go Cambridge scored again making it 3-1. The Wolves with 3 men in the box for head checking, body checking & roughing seemed doomed to get scored on again but instead #68 Ethan Hay made some miraculous moves, with agility & speed, broke through the Cambridge squad & buried the puck, top cheese into the back of the net.

It was a close game & the Wolves played really well. 3-2 Cambridge final score.
