Timber Wolves Rally in Comeback Over Burlington
Coming off a big win over the Cyclones, how would Timber Wolves handle a lessor opponent?  Well, it started off well.  With their new found quick start (I like to think it was the warm-up tunes...), it was only 11 seconds in and Ryan McGeown registered another early game marker, with assists from Owen Parsons and Dominic Hemphill.

However, for the rest of the first period, we didn't see the same Timber Wolves team that won individual battles so often on the previous day and we soon found ourselves behind 1-4.  However, character and no quit is ingrained within this team, how many times have I wrote about these attributes?

Jackson Marschuetz then closed the door for the remaining two periods, making several key stops to keep the game in reach and that seemed to inspire Waterloo Timber Wolves to now go to work.

Ryan McGeown set Owen Parsons up for a beauty right from the slot, where Owen doesn't miss much, and it was in the net before the goalie could even move.  Dominic Hemphill then sent Ryan in on a break-away, and Ryan blasted one off the post that the whole rink could hear, and it seemed that the Waterloo Timber Wolves just wanted it at this point and it was just only a matter of time.

Jasper "Jazzy" Peterson got his first of the season on a great effort to start the third period, assisted from Preston Young.  Preston also found top shelf iron shortly thereafter and the third period saw Timber Wolves double their shot count to reach 25.

The quick feet of the Timber Wolves then forced Burlington into penalties, and the Timber Wolves power play, firing on 66% for this day, activated for two more goals, the first from Ryan McGeown from Owen Parsons and Dominic Hemphill and the second on an Owen Parsons breakaway deke sent in from Ryan McGeown.    Waterloo Timber Wolves having come back now lead 5-4 with 10 minutes left.  Jackson made some key saves and Timber Wolves held on for the victory!
Luke Ronson had his best game for the Timber Wolves to date... playing superb defense with fast moving feet to stay well positioned, aggressive pinching to keep the puck in the zone, and great puck movement to provide lots of offense from the back line.  Max Von Hafner also played a monster game, constantly closing the gap on fast moving forwards and making them run out of time and space.    Jackson Hurst had a great third period bringing a ton of checking tenacity.  Without these three key efforts, the win would not have been ours...

Another great team effort for the Timber Wolves, maybe not a full game effort, but ending in a victory!  Maybe next time we could try not spotting the other team a three goal lead... I know we want to be sporting, but...
