TimberWolves Battle Hard
The Novice TimberWolves headed into the weekend with a tough road ahead of them. They needed to earn every point possible in order to stay in the race. With only one game this weekend they travelled to Brantford for a game with the 99ers.
The challenge to provide a strong forecheck and play tough in front of both nets was laid down with every one of the boys accepting that duty. They came out strong and were rewarded with an early goal and lead. The battle continued back and forth with both team's goalies making some key saves to keep the game close. The third period started with the game knotted at 2 apeice. A knuckball from the blue line made its way into the net midway through the period and although the TimberWolves fought hard they could not provide the equalizer. An empty net finished off the scoring and the game ended in a tough 4 to 2 loss.
The coaching staff had nothing but high praise after the game as the team played hard and strong all game. They never gave up but just came up short. Great Effort Boys!!!!
This weekend they have a two game homestand against the visiting Cyclones and a return affair with Brantford. Let's protect the house this weekend boys and show them what we can do!!
