Wolves vs Hawks
The boys played a strong game today against one of the strongest teams in the Eastern Division.  The Wolves finished out the second last game of the regular season ahead of being seeded and were not pushed around by a well organized Cambridge team.

The first period saw the majority of the play in the Wolves end however the chances were either smothered by Craig or kept to the outside with no real threat.  First ended 0-0.

Getting into the second period the boys started to push the play into the Hawks end with a couple of chances towards their net.  Again the Hawks pushed hard to open the scoring but the Wolves again the play to the outside and didn't give them many chances on goal.

The third period was by far the best for the Wolves as they out-shot the Hawks and had many chances at net but just couldn't bury the puck.  A couple of shots just wide, a cross bar and a post prevented the Wolves to getting onto the score sheet.  Some real strong play on the boards by the Wolves defense to keep the puck in play created a number of key chances at the Hawk net.

A questionable call against the Wolves gave the Hawks their first PP and subsequently their first goal with just over 3 minutes to play.  The Wolves didn't back and tried to tie up the game but just couldn't quite come through.

This was one of the best "TEAM" efforts so far this season.  Every player gave it their all until the final buzzer sounded.

Hardest worker went to Craig for an outstanding game in net.

Good luck against Burlington in our last Regular Season game.
