Wolves @ Burlington Red
The Wolves looked to continue their recent pace to add another "W" into the win column as they traveled to Burlington to take on team Red.

The game certainly didn't start off as the Wolves had wanted as an early odd man rush led to a strong move to the middle by the charging Bulldog who made a nifty deek back hand to open the scoring at 1-0.  Mid way through the 1st the Wolves go the PP which saw some great zone movement.  Johnstone took a shot from the point on net that took a few bounces and found its way through to tie the game up.  A late unlucky bounce of a Wolves defender's rear end found its way into the net making it 2-1 where the period ended.

Much as the first started, the second began with a weird bounce ending up in the back of the net putting the Wolves in a hole down 3-1.  The boys did not give up and continued with the system that has proved them well over the winning stretch.  Babansee used one of the plays to put a lose puck into open ice where Thomas took the puck up on a breakaway beating the Bulldogs goalie to bring them within a goal.  Their hard work and determination even on the Penalty kill saw Riley-MacKay go down on a breakaway, get stoned on the shot, and picks op the rebound to go 5 hole to tie the game up.

Early in the second saw the Wolves execute a set play worked on earlier this week in practice.  Babansee high in the slot spotted Thomas at the back post and blistered the pass down low.  Thomas made no mistake burying the puck high glove side to take the lead!  Matthews stood tall as the shots poured in late and even stopped a breakaway to keep secure the come-from-behind-win!

Great work executing the system and not giving up being down.

Hardest worker went to Thomas.
