Wolves travel to Kitchener
The Wolves played another strong game today however ended up on the wrong side of the win/loss column.  A classic example of the score not reflecting the play on the ice.  There were also many positives to point to in this game as the team finds its identity heading into the Burlington tournament next weekend.

The start of the game was not what the team was looking for falling down 2-0 in the opening 2:30.  The boys did not quit as they have in the recent past and kept pressing hard on the first place Rangers squad.

Even going down another goal early in the second period didn`t seem to phase the boys.  They kept up the pressure and gave the Rangers little time and space to work with.   The power play saw some action where the defense got into the play which resulted in a number of shots on net and juicy rebounds.  Shots on net also increased throughout the game which were met by a strong Kitchener goalie.

The third period was likely the Wolves strongest in a number of weeks.  The play was mostly in the Kitchener end with a number of quality scoring chances.  Kitchener went down 2 men with just over 4 minutes to play.  The Wolves pulled their goalie for the 6 on 3 opportunity to get on the board and press for more.  Waterloo was able to hold the puck in the Rangers end for 2:30 before they broke the defense and managed to score the empty netter.

It was great to see the Wolves improve in many aspects of the game.  Special teams, the hunger for the puck and more shots to the net are huge steps to getting into the win column on a regular basis.  Keep up the hard work!
