Wolves vs Wildcats
The second game of the Orillia tournament saw the boys once again come out very strong against one the better teams they have faced all season. They showed that hard work, "playing the hands" and taking away the opponents time and space can slow any team in the league.
The opening period was very even with a number of scoring chances at either end of the rink. Both goalies made a number of saves that kept the game at 0.
An early goal in the second period from the Wildcats almost seemed to stun the Wolves as they moved away from what made them successful in the first period. A number of penalties called against Waterloo made the hill pretty hard to climb as Whitby scored a few power play goals that basically put the game out of reach.
Wei was able to put a goal on the board for the Wolves on a nifty face off win by Proulx with a pass over to Wei who went five hole on the Whitby goalie.
Players of the game were Riley-McKay and Tauer
