Wolves open Orillia Tournament
The Wolves opened up their first tournament of the season yesterday against a tough Flamborough Sabres team that can ready to skate.

The first period was by far the best for the boys as they out-chanced the Sabres and had the majority of the possession as a result of limiting their opponents time and space.  Unfortunately they couldn't get the puck through the Sabres goalie and settled at 0-0 at the end of the period.

The second period period saw the Wolves take a couple of penalties that they got most of the way through killing before the Sabres broke in on a two on one play that just snuck through a sliding Craig to open the scoring.  With 4:14 remaining in the second the visitors struck again making it 2-0 were the period ended.

The third looked to be a better start as Flannagan went in on a breakaway, got the shot off and the goalie got just enough to send the puck wide.  Shortly there after another huge scoring chance was turned aside sending the puck back up the ice into the Wolves end.  A scramble in front of the net left a loose puck in the crease that was smacked into the open net.

The Player of the Game was Jacob Craig.

Next up is the Whitby Wilcats as the tournament continues...
