MD Minor Atom White vs St. Catharines Hurricanes
The wolves tamed St. Catharines on home as they picked up a hard fought 4 - 3 victory.

The first period seemed to be a bit of a sleeper as Waterloo kept the play out of their end only allowing one scoring chance all period.

Head coach Brian Matthews gave the boys an inspirational talk between periods as it was clearly a different team that took to the ice to start the second. Mitchell McIntosh worked his magic as he picked up the puck in his own end and weaved around the St. Catharines players. He worked his way in tight and then lifted the puck top shelf to put the boys up 1 - 0. Less than one minute later, Andrew Zulawski grabbed the puck in the neutral zone and fed Brett Verutis with a no look pass. Brett fought through three defenders before knocking the puck in the back of the net.

The team took a 3 - 0 lead shortly after the third period started as Matthew Johnstone assisted on the second goal for Brett Verutis. Theo Wolfe helped put the game out of reach as he darted and danced, dipped and twirled with the puck on his stick before dishing the puck over to Chaz Proulx.

Theo Wolfe took home the hardest worker bucket for his nifty moves in the third period. He's got groove!

Very nice effort boys. The defense was very solid as they were down to just four boys. Good luck against Brantford tomorrow.
