MD Minor Atom White vs Brantford 99ers
A near Deja Vu experience of yesterday's loss and some last minute dramatics lifted the wolves past Brantford 5 - 4.

The wolves played strong throughout the entire first period and opened up a commanding 3 - 0 lead well into the first. I wish I could read the game sheet to give you the goal scorer and those that assisted on the first goal but it is too marked up. I will do my best to do the play by play. Wolf # 00 dove at the puck and stopped it from going out of the zone. He then got up, faked the slapshot, twirled around and passed the puck over to Wolf # 01. His stick acted like a rubber band and rebounded the puck over to the open winger Wolf # 05. Wolf # 05 purposely over-skated the puck, then tucked his own stick back between his legs and lifted the puck over the goalies pads. Sweet moves. The wolves picked up the second goal as Jake Millington and Theo Wolfe cycled the puck down low playing keep away. Chaz Proulx skated on the scene out front and shot the puck top cheese making it 2 - 0.  If it worked once, it could work again and the dynamic three teamed up to make it 3 - 0 on Chaz's second goal of the game.

Waterloo had numerous scoring chances to put the game away in the second but failed to find the net as they kept the pressure on Brantford.

Brantford kept coming at Waterloo and finally took the lead mid way through the third period giving them the 4 - 3 lead. Brett Verutis took matters into his own hands as he skated up the ice with the puck on his stick. He tucked the puck over to the speedy Andrew Zulawski-Dayeh at centre ice. Andrew was dealing with both defensemen when Riley Waters caught his attention in front of the net. Riley picked up his third goal in two games. The goal sparked life back into the boy's game. With a minute left in the game and the face off in Brantford's end, Andrew took the faceoff and battled to get the puck back to the blue line. Quade Willson jumped on the puck and before anyone knew it, Quade included, the puck had glided through everyone and into the back of the net. Great ending.

Quade Willson took home the hardest worker helmet for the game winning goal.

Good luck next weekend at home against Brantford.
