MD Minor Atom White vs Hamilton Huskies White
Submitted By Mike Willson on Sat 03 12, 16
The wolves nearly won their final road game of the season as Hamilton had to hold on for the 3 - 2 victory

The boys had to work very hard during the period and limit Hamilton to just 3 goals on numerous scoring attempts. The defense did a good job containing Hamilton in close.

The wolves got on the score board 1:30 into the period as Quade Willson held the puck at the line and fired it on goal. Jake Millington grabbed the puck and dished it over to Brett Verutis. Two dekes later, the puck was in the back of the net. Cole Matthews stood tall in net not allowing the puck to cross the line in an effort to keep the score in check.

Mid way thru the third, Matthew Johnstone flipped the puck to Brett Verutis who tucked the puck under the pads of the Hamilton netminder. A determined Cole Matthews went back to work as Hamilton kept coming at him in waves. Cole made several spectacular saves throughout the entire period. With time winding down, Chaz Proulx blasted one off the crossbar as he cut through the middle. The ping was deafening!

Cole Matthews received the hardest worker bucket for his stellar moves between the pipes. Yes, he had moves like Jagger!

Good luck tomorrow at home against Burlington.
