MD Minor Atom White vs Burlington Bulldogs
Waterloo Wolves smash the all-time attendance record and more importantly, a 3 - 2 win over Burlington.

Be very proud boys as it took just 15 sell out home games to set the impressive 1,359,221 attendance record. The boys would like to thank everyone who came out to see them play at home and those that rode the fan school bus to their away games.

Waterloo tied the score up late in the second period on a give and go play from Ryder Murphy over to Brett Verutis. Brett had to ward off the forecheckers while lifting the puck top cheddar.

The team owned the third period and kept the pressure on Burlington. It was an unlucky bounce that had the team down a goal. Less than two minutes later, Chaz Proulx battled for the puck deep in Burlington's zone. With the puck on his stick and Theo Wolfe calling for the puck out front, Chaz calmly passed the puck. Theo shot the puck in the exact location as the team's first goal. The boys put the game out of reach when Nathan Edwards shot the puck on net and Brett Verutis grabbed the rebound and with a wicked backhand shot, managed to place the puck up high. Jacob Craig stood solid in net as he made many key saves throughout the game and somehow manage to keep the puck from crossing the line as he was being pushed into his own net late in the third.

In a post game interview, Brett was asked to comment on his 4 goals in two games effort. "Coach Colten told us that the scouting report on the two goalies was to shoot the puck high. Both goalies like to go down early and often" said Brett.

The entire team took home the hardest worker bucket for their excellent game effort and finishing on a winning note.

Congratulations on a wonderful hockey season boys. Keep working hard and have a wonderful summer vacation. We will certainly see you around the rink!
