Waterloo
tied Vaughan 2 -2 as they stormed back in dramatic fashion.
The boys had a very solid first period despite giving up the only goal in the first period. The team was committed to attacking their opponents every chance they had the puck. Waterloo had a few glorious opportunities in front of Vaughn’s net but they could not push the puck past the mammoth goaltender.
The boys woke up immediately after Vaughn scored their second goal as Aidan MacKinnon and Quade Willson worked the puck high in the offensive zone. Riley Waters jumped on the juicy rebound only 20 seconds after Vaughn took a 2 – 0 lead. Ryder Murphy put together an awesome shift as he kept stopping Vaughn from leaving their zone. Ryder dove at the puck to ensure his line-mate Nathan Edwards picked it up. Nathan tucked the puck between the feet of the defenseman over to Mitchell McIntosh. Mitchell slid the puck under the pads to ensure the tie game.
Mitchell McIntosh took home the hardest worker bucket for his second goal of the tournament.
That was a great effort boys! Keep playing like that and all will fall into place nicely.
