Weekend Wrap-Up Feb.7
The Wolves continued their play-off run, visiting Kitchener Red on Saturday.

The team looked to continue with their strong play after tying Cambridge one week earlier.  They were able to do just that, as the Wolves came out flying to begin the first period.  A strong first shift resulted in great pressure in the offensive zone.  From there, the team continued to dominate throughout the entire period.  All three forward lines played well, but Thomas, Noble, and Schultz led the way with two goals in the period.  In total, the team would score three goals to take a commanding 3-0 lead into the second period.

Heading into the second, the Wolves looked to continue to pressure the Rangers in the offensive zone.  Once again, they were able to control much of the play.  However, Kitchener would get on the board midway through the period with a power-play goal.  Although Waterloo would continue to pressure, the period would end with a score of 3-1.

From their, the game got wild.  Kitchener would take a total of 8 penalties in the period giving the Wolves substantial time on the power-play.  Although the team was able to generate many quality scoring chances, they were unable to put another past the Kitchener goalie.  However, goalie LaFlamme and a depleted defence staff including Hepditch and Barnes; Dargel and Hilderley would shut Kitchener down making the final 3-1.

The Wolves have taken 3 of the possible 4 points to begin their play-off's.  They will look to continue with their success as they will face Cambridge on the road Saturday, and return home on Sunday to play Hamilton White.
