Weekend Wrap-Up Dec.14
Following a day of team activities and shopping to support the Tree of Angels Campaign, the Wolves were ready to take on league leading Hamilton Blue

The team came out playing well, controlling play to begin the game.  All three lines were able to generate pressure in the offensive zone, when finally the team was rewarded, as Thomas, Foxworthy, and Beddis would score just under five minutes in.  The team continued to play well for the rest of the period, however with under a minute remaining the Huskies were able to score a goal of their own to tie the game at one.

To begin the second period the Wolves pressured hard, looking to regain the lead.  A hard working shift by Mervyn, Lutz, and Karges was rewarded just over two minutes in the period as the line scored to take a 2-1 lead.    Just over a minute later, Guenther, Noble, and Schultz jumped in on the action scoring a goal of their own to take a 3-1 lead.  However, the lead would be very short lived, as the team still seemed to be feeling the "giving" spirit.  Hamilton would come back with two goals in two minutes to tie the game 3-3.

For the remainder of the second period, and much of the third, the team spent a large amount of time in their own end.  Goaltender LaFlamme along with defense partners Dargel and Barnes; Hepditch and Schaefer; as well as Dietrich and Hilderley were able to hold down the fort.  However, Hamilton was rewarded with a power play opportunity, and they were able to capitalize.  Trailing 4-3 the Wolves had plenty of time to find their play and tie the hockey game.  However, the team was able to generate very little offensively and the game would end with a final of 4-3.

The Wolves will look to regroup and come out with a much stronger effort this weekend as they have a home and home exhibition series booked with Oakridge.
