Winning Weekend
You have out done yourself Gina. This is another great read!

Sat. November 9th The Timber Wolves made the long haul to St. Catherines & it was worth the drive. The Hurricanes dominated the 1st period & finished it with a 2 goal lead. 4:25 to go in the 2nd the Hurricanes got a 2 minute penalty for body checking that gave #44 Ryan Class the opportunity to take a nice, hard shot that bounced off the goalie for #77 Cameron Buck to snatch up & toss in the net. 33 seconds later the Hurricanes took back their 2 goal lead making it 3-1. 2:35 left in the 2nd the Hurricanes were in the box again for body checking. At 2:27, #10 Liam Karges received a beauty pass from #44 Ryan Class & 5 holed the Hurricane goalie, closing the gap once again to a 1 goal deficit. With 1:32 remaining in the 2nd, back to the sin bin a Hurricane went. This time for tripping. In the closing seconds of the 2nd period, #22 Makhaya Campbell set up the play that tied the game at 3 a piece. Campbell slid the puck to #4 Caiden Benwell who gave it up to #13 Carter Milne. Milne hammered the puck through the crowd in front of the net for the 3rd power play goal of the game for the Wolves. Just over 2 minutes into the 3rd #66 Jeffery Luo made a sick pass out front from behind the net to #14 Robbie Young who sent the puck flying over the goalie's blocker to take the lead 4-3. The Hurricanes managed to land themselves in the box a couple more times & #13 Carter Milne served up a 2 minute penalty for body checking but neither team were able to take advantage of the extra player. Under 7 minutes of play left in the game #44 Ryan Class generated his 3rd assist of the game when he rendered the puck up to #10 Liam Karges who buried it in the far side corner for his 2nd goal of the game! The wolves would go on to win the game 5-3.

Sunday Nov. 10th the Wolves met the Kitchener Jr. Rangers Blue for the 2nd weekend in a row, only this time it was on the Wolves home ice. It was surprising the ice didn't melt because the Wolves were on fire! All the Wolves players were on their game & played amazing! The Jr Rangers Blue played an excellent game too but the Wolves owned the ice! In the 1st period, #9 Richard Wang made a tremendous pass to #22 Makhaya Campbell who scored an outstanding goal that flew over the goalies head & into the back of the net at 2:57. In the 2nd period, #44 Ryan class & #77 Cameron Buck assisted the goal by #10 Liam Karges at 9:40. Karges deked out the goalie, got him to drop & tossed it in over his head. The Jr Rangers Blue got lucky after a goalie change & slid one in but that's all they would get. The Wolves came out victorious with a 2-1 win. Congratulations to the newest member of the Wolves #31 Ryan May who has his 1st shut out of the season!
