Another great job by Gina!

Friday Oct. 11th the Timber Wolves went up against their home town rivals the Ice Wolves for the 1st time this season. It was a tight game! The audience witnessed nice back checking by #14 Robbie Young, clean, controlled passes by #27 Kayden Curtis-Wolfe & #7 Jacob Bender did a great job of keeping it in the Ice Wolves end. #19 Hudson Vance made great turn overs, #88 Luke Collins sent the puck up high on the boards to ensure it cleared. 3:40 to play in the 2nd period #9 Richard Wang took a hard shot from far out to give the Timber Wolves a 1-0 lead. A minute & a half into the 3rd the Ice Wolves landed one to make it a 1-1 game. At 10:01 #77 Cameron Buck put the Timber Wolves back into the lead with assists from #22 Makhaya Campbell & #14 Robbie Young. 10 seconds later the Ice Wolves answered back & the game was tied 2-2. As fans sat on the edge of their seats, the clocked ticked down! Finally with 3:57 left in the game #66 Jeffrey Luo came off the bench & out of nowhere, buried it in the back of the Ice Wolves net making it 3-2. He was so pumped up that 35 seconds later he flew down the ice, deked out the Ice Wolves defence & planted a short side, top shelf goal (4-2). With 3 minutes & 22 seconds left to play. The Ice Wolves managed to sneak 1 more past the Timber Wolves but that was all the Timbers would allow. Both teams played a super game & the goalies were tremendous. Final score 4-3 Timber Wolves. Woo Hoo :)

Sunday Oct. 13th the Timber Wolves vs the Kitchener Jr. Rangers Red on Waterloo home turf. #4 Caiden Benwell, #13 Carter Milne & #44 Ryan Class were fast & furious on the ice. #68 Raine Lusted did an awesome job protecting his net, #10 Liam Karges worked hard all game to get the puck down into the Rangers end. 1:18 left in the 1st period #9 Richard Wang grabbed a rebound, swung around the goalie & placed the puck top cheese to put the Timber Wolves on the score board 1st. At 7:41 in the 2nd Kitchener tied it up. It stayed a 1-1 game until just under the 2 min. mark when #22 Makhaya Campbell made a sweet pass out front to #9 Richard Wang who drilled the puck in the net for his 2nd goal of the game making it 2-1 Timber Wolves. 24 seconds to go in the 2nd, Wolves #10 Liam Karges took a slashing penalty leading to a Kitchener power play goal at 13:41 in the 3rd. At 12:39 Kitchener Rangers Red wound up with a man in the box for tripping but the Timber Wolves got caught in a bad line change at 11:29 & ended up with a 2 min. penalty for too many men on the ice. #3 Ryan Godwin was on top of his game though & killed off the penalty by icing the puck deep into the rangers end. #66 Jeffrey Luo made an outstanding wrap around goal with 4:42 remaining in the game to give the Timber Wolves the lead once more (3-2 Wolves). Just under a minute later at 3:49 Rangers Red scored one last quick one to tie it back up. Final score 3-3.

Great job on the ice this holiday weekend by all!
