Jan 13th - Game 11 @ Centre Wellington
On Sunday January 13th The Major PeeWee Select Waterloo Wolves travelled to Fergus Ontario to challenge the Centre Wellington PeeWee Selects at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex.
It was a very good back and forth game as the teams were very evenly matched. We had Matthew Flood start the game in net and he did an outstanding job as our AP goalie.
Centre Wellington got on the scoreboard first but we Wolves battled back to tie the game up. B. Hooper scored a great goal for us with an assist going to A. Rowlands.
We then got the third goal of the game and took the lead for the first time. B. Schal shot the puck from outside the blueline and it bounced in past the goalie.
No goals were scored in the second period as both goaltenders played great.
Centre Wellington came back in the third period and tied the game up 2-2 with only 6 minutes left in the game.
B. Mirt came through for us Wolves again as he was playing a rare shift upfront and buried a hard shot from in close on a great set up play from K. Duquette and R. Read.
