Dec 14th - Game 8 vs Brantford 99'ers
On Friday December 14th the Major Peewee Select Wolves travelled south to Brantford to take on the Brantford 99'ers at the newly renovated Wayne Gretzky Sports Complex.
There were no goals scored in either the first or second periods as the goalies stole the show at both ends of the rink.
Brantford opened the scoring of the game at the start of the 3rd period. B.Mirt scored a goal for Waterloo on an unassisted rush / wrap around to tie the game. We scored another but the goal was disallowed as the ref thought he saw a Waterloo Wolves player intentionaly kick the puck in. The Wolves were able to stay disciplined and control their emotions in the face of this adversity and we the coaching staff were proud of the boys to finish the game as a 1-1 tie.
