Pee Wee Gold Wolves Take Series Lead
The Pee Wee Gold Wolves made the trek to Brantford for game 3 in the series.  The teams had split the first two games.

The teams faced off for a critical game 3.  This game went back and forth with the result in doubt until late in the game.  The teams played a scoreless first period, with scoring chances being limited.  Brantford kept the Wolves in their end for some long stretches in the second period as the Wolves had trouble getting out of the zone.  Reagan Gies was strong in net for the Wolves, shutting the door when Brantford did get some scoring chances.  Waterloo's best scoring chance of the second came when Evan Kula fed a nice pass to Justin Labrie at the top of the crease but the Brantford goalie came across to keep the game tied at zero after two.  The Wolves picked up the pace in the third and gained the momentum.  It looked like the Wolves would get on the board first when Quinn Bisch, standing all alone in the slot, took a pass from Josh Stephens.  Bisch was turned away however with a great save.  The Wolves kept coming and they finally broke the scoreless tie with just under five minutes remaining.  Bisch started the play by feeding a loose puck to Stephens.  Stephens then gave the puck to Bryson Henderson who was all alone at the side of the net.  Henderson beat the goalie high to the glove side.  The Wolves seemed to be in control late in the game when they were on the power play with less than a minute remaining.  All they had to do was control the puck and let the time run out.  Brantford managed to block a loose puck at the side boards and gain a partial breakaway.  Thankfully, Gies came up with save when it counted most.  Thomas Dunbar then took the loose puck in the Wolves zone and flipped it down the ice.  Evan Kula won the race to the puck and slid it into the empty net to seal the victory for the Wolves.  The Wolves now lead the six point series 4 points to 2.  The teams are back in action tomorrow night in Brantford.
