A Hard-Fought Battle Monday Night
The Waterloo Wolves travelled to Woodstock on Monday for a late night game against the Jr. Navy Vets.
After a hard fought battle, and despite being outplayed through most of the game, the Wolves emerged with a 2-0 win. The win gives Waterloo Gold a commanding 22 points through 13 games, as their record stands at 10-1-2, good enough to keep them in the top spot in the league. This match also marks the 10th straight win for the team. The goalkeeper Guerriero was named player of the game.
Waterloo will look to keep the momentum going into next weekend as they square off against the Sarnia Jr. Sting on Saturday at Clearwater Arena in Sarnia. The following day the Wolves will host the Oakridge Aeros.
The win against Woodstock clinched the Wolves a spot in AA, however they will try to improve upon their impressive record to make a statement heading into the latter part of the season.
