Hamilton Hands Waterloo First Loss in 20 Games
The Hamilton Huskies defeated Waterloo Gold 2-1 in a tight game on Saturday. It was Waterloo Gold's first loss in 20 league games. In the first period Hayes scored Waterloo's only goal, a beautiful shot from the side of the net that deflected off the Hamilton goalie's pads into the net. But the large number of Waterloo penalties worked against the Wolves, allowing Hamilton to score both of their goals on power plays. Hamilton's lead would carry through to the end of the game.
