Schlueter Hyundai vs. Skills Plus Hockey
On Nov.27 Schlueter Hyundai (3-0-3) played their second game in as many days against Skills Plus Hockey (2-3-1).

They came into the game knowing they were up against a difficult opponent after skating to a 1-1 tie earlier in the year.  The opposition proved to be as difficult as expected as the first period ended with neither team able to put a goal on the scoreboard.

The visiting Skills Plus team changed that quickly in the second period scoring less then a minute in.  This seemed to give Schlueter a spark though as the lines of Flanders, Dietrich, and Noble; Wigmore-Lopez, Horvath and Anderson; along with Davis, J. Demers and Duquette all had excellent scoring chances.  All three lines fired everything they could at an opposition goaltender who stopped everything that was thrown at him.

The line of Davis, J. Demers and Duquette was finally able to break through as they scored to tie things before the second period ended.  The line was able to score once again early in the third to take a 2-1 lead.

A one goal lead was all the Schlueter defense would need.  First time defensemen Brookes along with partner Steffler looked like they had played together all season.  Garland and Haney played well defensively, as well as contributing offensively with an assist on the second goal.  Domaratzki and Jones played solid defensively as usual.

Once again C. Demers played close to perfect in net allowing one goal or less for the fourth time this year, two of which have been shutouts.

The teams next action is Dec. 3 at 7:30am against Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse (0-4-2).
