Schlueter Hyundai vs. Libro
On Saturday morning Schlueter Hyundai came out with one of their best efforts of the season, defeating a tough Libro squad 5-2.

The two teams played to a scoreless first period; however things would pick up in the second with five goals scored in the period. Horvath, Wigmore-Lopez, and Anderson started off the scoring for Schlueter, however Libro would tie the game at one with a goal only seven seconds later. Dietrich, Flanders, and Noble would score one minute later to restore Schueter’s one goal lead. The line of Duquette, Davis, and J. DeMers would then join in on the scoring action giving Schlueter a 3-1 lead. Dietrich, Flanders, and Noble would add their second of the game before the end of the period to take a three goal lead into the third.

Libro would make things interesting scoring early in the third to make it a two goal game, but that would be as close as they would get. Horvath, Wigmore-Lopez, and Anderson continued their strong game and added one more goal midway through the period to make the final 5-2.

The balanced offensive attack with a solid performance from all three lines was encouraging, and makes Schlueter a hard team to defend against.

The defense once again played a solid game. Due to having to play with only five d-men, they were forced to play with a different partner every shift. Haney, Elhedhli, Domoratzki, Jones, and Brookes looked at home though limiting Libro to few quality scoring opportunities.

The defense have also improved a great deal this year. Schlueter now has the fewest goals against of any team, at 23 for the season.

C. DeMers played a great game in net once again. His play has given the team a lot of confidence knowing that he will be there to make the save when called upon.
